Powters proud winners in the EAT Suffolk Food & Drink Awards 2019
We celebrated earlier this month after winning the prestigious Pride of Suffolk Award at the Eat Suffolk Food & Drink Awards.
At a ceremony held at Kesgrave Hall in Ipswich on 29thApril, The Eat Suffolk Food & Drink Awards celebrate the finest food and drink produced across the county.
Hosted by Suffolk Magazine and the East Anglian Daily Times, the annual Eat Suffolk Food & Drink Awards has become the county’s Oscars for the food industry, open to all food and drink producers and suppliers including farmers, brewers, bakers, fishmongers and deli who share a true passion for the country and the fantastic food and drink made here. Powters was named the winner of the coveted Pride of Suffolk award.
Sponsored by Marketplace amp, the Pride of Suffolk Award recognises a brand or product that the country is proud to call its own, by demonstrating excellence of food and drink production within Suffolk, or even further afield.
All entries for the award were put to a panel of expert judges from the Suffolk food and drink industry. A handful were then visited by the judges, giving entrants the opportunity to tell them all about what they do and show them around their premises. From the visited businesses, four finalists were chosen and invited to the ceremony.
We are over the moon to have won this award, we continually strive to give our customers the best products and customer service. Winning this fantastic award is testament to the teams hard work and makes us proud to be part of such an amazing county that is producing some of the best food and drink in the world.
